anything but 与nothing but 的区别

anything but的意思是除…之外任何事（物）都…，根本不…
例句：I will be anything but quiet on Saturday night!
星期六的晚上我根本静不下心来！
nothing but的意思是无非;只有， 只不过。
例句：You'll buy nothing but trouble if you buy that house, take my word for it.
你要是买那栋房子只会买来麻烦，我说的都是真的。
2、用法不同
Anything but 常与be动词搭配使用，和 not at all 相近。
例句： He was anything but a hero.
他根本不是什么英雄。
Nothing but 后面可以接名词和代词。
例句：He is nothing but a child.
他只不过是个孩子而已。

1、except
